Tour durch Wien is Vienna's multi-stage bike event, designed for everyone. A multi-stage cycle event, touring around Vienna, cycling the roads known and unknown, exploring to find some of Vienna's hidden treasures. Now approaching its sixth edition, we learn and improve the event each time to give the participant the best experience possible. Our goals are to:
We welcome all types of participants, such as:
Many will start - only the strongest few will see the finish. Can you rise to the challenge?
Our TdW Classic event was a hit for some, and we we're delighted to hear the positive feedback. This is something we will re-address in the future.
For TdW 2024 we have moved back to just the single event, with one of the main reasons being that participants enjoyed seeing fellow TdW participants on the road riding the stages with them. With two events, the chances of this happening was reduced. We may look again at reintroducing a classic event in the future.
Exercise, sport and nature are important cornerstones of mental health. With Tour durch Wien, we not only want to create an experience for the participants, but also make a contribution to destigmatizing mental illnesses. That's why we now cooperate with the Lichterkette association, and at least 20% of the earnings from donations and participation fees from Tour durch Wien will go to this association.
During TdW 2024, be on the lookout for our new cycle kit. A select few riders have had the privilege of being the first to sport the newly designed TdW cycle kit, designed by Niklas Brantner and produced by Maroitalia.

TdW 2024 Night Stage is our unique stage giving riders the opportunity to ride through the streets of Vienna with close to zero vehicle and pedestrian traffic. While everyone sleeps, the rider gets the best experience riding on clear streets - an experience that is difficult to explain, but must be seen to be believed.
Scared of the dark? Don't worry, this year we are planning to ride the Night stage as a non-competitive group ride, giving everyone the chance to share these two common feelings - the enjoyment of riding your bike, and feeling scared of the dark together!
The geographical mapping remains the same as last year to keep orientation simplified:
We'll taken the seven general stages from this year's event and break them up into smaller segments. Doing this will allow riders the freedom to break up a long stage into 2-4 shorter stages. This will benefit those who have time restraints, feel their fitness level is not yet high enough and for those who participated in our Classic event in 2023. Those seeking a longer ride can ride several stages in a row, completing the region in as little as one or two days.
The motivation to always improve our stages continues for TdW 2024. We're making minor alterations to some stages, but also huge changes to others. Once again, we look to expand out further and explore new areas. Our team is already looking to add new regions to future TdW events, so stayed tuned.
TdW 2025 Night Stage will undergo some minor route alterations. We will also revisit making the stage competitive again. As with the 2024 edition, we will continue to offer the Night stage as a group ride so that participants can complete the stage and collect points in a friendlier, social setting.
We introduced an achievement related points system last year to enable participants to feel they were achieving something for completing stages, when compared to previous year's where the fastest riders finishing in the top 10 gain the only points available, but they ride less than 25% of the TdW event. The aim was, and is still, to narrow the competitive gap and encourage all riders to complete all stages to gain maximum points, or, run risk slipping down the leaderboard.
We will still reward the fastest riders with top finisher points. Overall, the fastest rider completing all stages will be the winner of TdW 2025.
